This has been my motto ever since we purchased our first French home with partners in 1994.  We didn't know it at the time, but our form of ownership, through a limited liability company, has become what is known today as "fractional ownership." This common form of second home ownership allows you to enjoy all the benefits, including appreciation, and share all responsibilities with other partners.
